Despite it being a Tuesday night, Borderline and Oceanic brought undeniable energy to the Voodoo Room at House of Blues. Walking into the venue, the crowd was smaller than expected, but that didn’t stop either band from delivering an amazing performance. As a personal fan of Borderline and having previously reviewed their song “Tainted” as one of my Fresh Picks, I was excited to see them live. The energy, stage performance, and vocals all exceeded my expectations, making me a bigger fan than I already was. Seeing how they also interacted with the fans on and off stage made the experience even more memorable. Oceanic followed that performance with the same energy: feeding off each other's momentum, bouncing around the stage, and making an effort to connect with everyone in the room. Between the lighting, the raw vocals, and the overall atmosphere, the night felt immersive and alive with energy. So despite the smaller crowd, Borderline and Oceanic turned a quiet Tuesday into something special, proving that good live music isn’t defined by the size of the crowd but by the passion and connection to the music.
